Vikram thinks of himself as a technologist, a person who looks at technical issues from their interaction with society, economics, and cultural change.
In New Zealand he has worked with private sector businesses (Telecom NZ, Mega), government (State Services Commission), and not-for-profits (Internet NZ).
Vikram is currently on a “career hiatus” as Chief Executive of the Internet Party till the 2014 General Elections. The Internet Party has been recently formed to advocate for a Bill of Digital Rights and New Zealand’s digital future.
Vikram has often spoken and written publicly in the last few years about the Internet’s opportunities and challenges as a technologist.
