Hello mighty readers! We’re on the road again with new ideas, team members and all that is TEDxQueenstown. Coming to our amazing town on April 17th 2016.
We thought for all you newbies out there we would give you some info as to what is TEDx? Where did it come from? What’s it all about? So here goes….
TED was started over 30 years ago in California as a non-profit organisation committed to ‘ideas worth spreading’. Started as a 4 day conference it has grown to support those world changing ideas without political or religious agendas. Speaking for up to 18 minutes only talks are then made widely accessible, free, online at TED.com
TEDx was then started as a way to allow groups and individuals to host local, self-organised events around the world.
Here at TEDxQueenstown we are in our fourth year of exciting new ideas, speakers, food and drink, community conversations and of course ‘ideas worth spreading’. We want you to join us! Here are a few of the previous speakers in action!
